Steamboat briefs: Rocky Mountain Youth Corps hosts open house

Steamboat Springs Rocky Mountain Youth Corps hosts an open house from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at its new location, 1705 13th St. The public is invited to come learn what the group does and who it serves as well as tour the newly renovated offices and property. Applications for orchestra program are due Sept. 6
Steamboat Symphony Orchestra’s education programs are starting up for fall. String ensemble, cello choir, a new flute choir and a youth orchestra/ensemble will be offered. The registration deadline is Sept. 6. Application forms are posted on the website. Scholarships are available to participants younger than 20. Those applications also are due Sept. 6. Volunteers needed for Steamboat Stage Race
The third annual Steamboat Stage Race needs volunteers Friday to Monday. Anyone who can give four hours of their time is asked to sign up online at www.bikesteamboat.com or email volunteers@bikesteamboat.com. All volunteers will receive a lunch, shirt and an invitation to the volunteer party Monday.
Chamber seeks volunteers at Wild West Air Fest event
