Woman taken to hospital after ATV rollover

Steamboat Springs A 44-year-old woman was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening after she rolled her all-terrain vehicle Tuesday in North Routt County.
The accident occurred on Forest Service Road 411 near Hahn’s Peak and was reported at about 12:40 p.m.
Five Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers, two park rangers and a North Routt Fire Protection District emergency responder assisted in rescue. Search and Rescue volunteers took ATVs up the jeep road to get the woman, who incident commander Kristia Check-Hill said was having difficulty breathing. She said that part of the ATV hit the woman in the abdomen but that she did not have life-threatening injuries.
The woman was from out of state and was not part of a commercial tour, Check-Hill said.
Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders took the woman to the hospital.
