Accident closes Highway 131

Steamboat Springs — Just before 11 a.m. Friday, Colorado Highway 131 in extreme southern Routt County was closed while officials responded to a traffic accident with injuries.
The highway was closed north of the accident scene and south of Toponas between mile markers 28 and 29. Emergency responders from Yampa and Eagle County were called to the scene where one accident victim reportedly need to be extricated from the vehicle involved.
