Steamboat theft suspect waives her preliminary hearing
Thursday, April 28, 2011
Steamboat Springs Kati More, 38, waived her right to a preliminary hearing in Routt County Court on Wednesday.
Her case will now move to District Court, where a hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. May 31.
The Routt County District Attorney’s Office has filed a charge of felony theft against More. She was arrested March 9 by Steamboat police, who say she stole $25,000 in cash from her ex-boyfriend. More is free on bail and was represented by Steamboat lawyer Larry Combs.
More is on probation for stealing and then returning more than $60,000 when she was treasurer of the Loggers Lane Owners Association.
