9 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Depart­ment code enforcement officers were called to a report of bears getting into trash in the 1300 block of Blue Sage Drive. They issued a warning.

9:21 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a dog loose in the 21000 block of Third Avenue in Milner.

9:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of children playing with a phone who called 911 in the first block of Logan Avenue. Officers contacted the parents.

10:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who came in for a drug test at Yampa Valley Medical Center who was intoxicated and drove away. Officers could not find the man.

2:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a juvenile who ran away.

5:34 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury car crash on Routt County Road 27 near mile marker 18.

6:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of children who were playing with a phone and called 911 in the 500 block of Wyatt Way.

9 p.m. Officers were called to check on an elderly person in the 700 block of Anglers Drive.

10:18 p.m. Officers were called to check on a Colorado Mountain College student whose mother had not heard from him in two days. The student was fine.

11:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance between a juvenile and parents who thought the juvenile was intoxicated.

Those bears are lucky they weren't in possession of any cannabis. Then it would have been mandatory euthanasia on site. Bears on cannabis will not be tolerated in this community.
