Ski Corp. maintenance worker injured after falling from lift

A lift mechanic was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after falling about 20 feet while working on the Sunshine Express chairlift at Steamboat Ski Area. The second lift mechanic involved in the accident was evaluated by emergency responders but was not transported to the hospital.

Kyteler's Irish Pub in Steamboat faces repossession

Steamboat Partners owns Wildhorse Marketplace on Mount Werner Road, where Kyteler’s is located. The pub never opened, and Steamboat Partners is repossessing the site.

Rockfall closes River Road south of Brooklyn neighborhood

City officials have closed a stretch of River Road between the Brooklyn and Tree Haus neighborhoods at least until Friday after two boulders described as being half the size of a car slid onto the narrow road at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Runner Diane Carter completes Boston Marathon with torn meniscus

By mile nine of the Boston Marathon on Monday, Diane Carter had her cane. By mile 11, she couldn’t run anymore, and by mile 13, the cleanup crew had passed her and streets were opening up. But for Carter the Boston Marathon was the culmination of a dream.
