— Oak Creek Canyon resident Sandy Wisecup had her case continued until Oct. 27 during a brief hearing Tuesday morning. Wisecup faces 80 charges of neglecting horses under her care near mile marker 54 on Colorado Highway 131. She was advised of the charges. Cynthia Hatlee-Morgan, who also is charged with neglecting horses at that location, had her case continued, as well. Deputy District Attorney Patrick Welsh said now that the women are advised of the charges, he can begin working on a plea agreement before the next hearing.

One condition of the plea agreement should be that Sandy Wisecup can never own/possess or "care for" horses again.

It's about time that this issue is on the slate to be resolved. These horses live in an atrocious condition. Confined to extremely small pens and all look malnourished. I hope that she will be brought to justice and the lives of these horses will have a brighter future.

Drove by this morning and there was a horse locked in a trailer being used as a corral. This needs to stop!!! Winter is coming on and like last year these horses are being abused!
