Steamboat Golf Club to join Patriot fundraiser

Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Golf Club plans to show its support for U.S. servicemen and servicewomen this weekend by participating in Patriot Golf Day.
The golf club is asking players to donate a dollar for every nine holes played at the course Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The money raised from Patriot Golf Day will go to the Folds of Honor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships for the children and spouses of men and women who are disabled or killed while serving in the military. The fundraising effort will take place at 4,500 golf courses across the United States during Labor Day weekend.
