Council on Aging seeks county centenarians
In May 2011, the Colorado Commission on Aging is considering having its annual Centenarian Celebration in Steamboat, according to the Routt County Council on Aging. The Centenarian Project is a promotional activity of the Commission on Aging to celebrate the lives of centenarians across the state, recognize their century of achievement, and focus the attention of Coloradans on the political and social issues of aging.
The project awards centenarian certificates prepared by the Commission and signed by the governor to those 100 or older. Those who know of someone in Routt County who will be turning 100 this year or already has reached that milestone are asked to contact Laura Schmidt at the Routt County Council on Aging, firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-879-0633.
