Steamboat Springs — Give the Soroco High School girls volleyball team this: The Rams rarely quit and certainly make their opponent work for it.
But fall behind early like Soroco did in each game Friday against Vail Christian, and any team will have a hard time winning. Vail Christian beat Soroco, 3-1, in Oak Creek. The Saints won, 28-26, 25-12, 22-25 and 25-19.
“That’s been our story this whole season — coming from behind and pulling out games,” Soroco coach Kim Reeves said. “We don’t panic like when they were younger. I’m not sure that’s a big thing for us. Our biggest thing is when we start making those errors and they start stacking on top of each other.”
Soroco plays at 3:30 p.m. today at Vail Mountain.
