— The Steamboat Springs High School soccer team placed four players on the Western Slope All-League team.

Christopher Holmquist, Enrique Lopez and Lance Ostrom were named to the first team, while Brandon Marr was named honorable mention.

The Sailors also placed all of their graduating seniors on the academic all-state team.

Holmquist and Marr, both seniors, were interchangeable parts this season, playing all over the field.

Juniors Ostrom and Lopez also were key cogs. Ostrom played all across the field, from goalkeeper to forward. Lopez led the team in goals and became one of the most feared players in the league.

“Each of those guys were a different personality within our group,” Steamboat coach Rob Bohlmann said. “It’s a team game for sure. It’s a team that makes things happen, but within that team these personalities were noted for their high level of play and commitment they contributed.”
