Low-income residents in Hayden are invited to reserve free food baskets from Hayden Congregational Church. The baskets include a Thanksgiving dinner. Call Teresa at 970-276-2507 or the church at 970-276-3510 by noon Monday to reserve one.
Self-checkout lanes added at Safeway in Steamboat
Safeway’s Steamboat Springs store recently added four self-checkout lanes to offer ease and convenience to its customers, according to a news release.
“Customers have been requesting self-checkout aisles for some time, and we are pleased to offer it,” Safeway spokesperson Kris Staaf said in the release.
Safeway’s self-checkout is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Steamboat Springs Safeway will be open until 6 p.m. Thanksgiving.
Steamboat Art Museum is looking for volunteers
Steamboat Art Museum is seeking volunteers to help in its exhibit galleries and gift shop. Volunteers typically work two hours a week and may greet visitors, give informal tours, help with clerical work and conduct sales in the museum gift shop.
