53-year-old woman found dead in Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs — Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg was called to a report of a 53-year-old Steamboat Springs woman found dead in a neighborhood off Walton Creek Road at about 6 p.m. Monday. Ryg said the woman’s boyfriend found her at the house, and she apparently was alone when she died. He said the death is not suspicious but the cause of death is unknown, so he will send the body for an autopsy. He said he still was in the process of notifying her family and would release her name today.
