The Board of Routt County Commissioners is not conducting county business today or Tuesday. The board is off today for the Memorial Day holiday.

Overtime for Scott employees would cost city nearly $25,000

Proposal would use city funds to have paving work resume later

Paying Scott Contracting three days worth of overtime wages and associated expenses in exchange for fall work starting after Labor Day would cost Steamboat Springs nearly $25,000, according to a proposal city officials will address this week. The Steamboat Springs City Council is scheduled to take on the topic Tuesday night at Centennial Hall.

Sunshine and holiday visitors translated into some much-needed good news for downtown businesses. At the tail end of a mud season filled with challenges from wet weather to the downtown repaving project, several Lincoln Avenue merchants reported strong sales Saturday and Sunday.
