Steamboat Springs The Yampa Valley Autism Program is seeking care providers for its Respite Program. Respite Program care providers are made available to families of children with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities for hire to help as needed. Care providers also can participate in programs such as Kids’ Night Out.

Yampatika seeks sponsors for its summer programs
Yampatika, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire environmental stewardship through education, seeks sponsors for its summer programs. Environmental education programs reach youth ages 5 to 14 through summer camps and adults through weekly hikes and adult field schools.

Registration under way for Yampatika camps
Registration is open for Yampatika’s 2010 Summer Camps. Yampatika is offering weeklong programs at the Environmental Learning Center at the Legacy Ranch for children ages 5 to 14. Yampatika’s programs provide children hands-on opportunities to explore their natural surroundings and are designed to inspire environmental stewardship through education. Camps include Wilderness Pioneers I and II for ages 12 to 14, teaching map, compass and GPS skills as well as wilderness ethics and Leave No Trace practices.
Wilderness Pioneers experience a pack-in, pack-out field trip at the end of the week. There also will be an optional overnight experience for Junior Naturalists, ages 9 to 11. VNA offering calendar journal for $15 donation
The Aging Well Calendar Journal now is available for a $15 donation to the VNA’s nonprofit Aging Well Program at VNA offices in Steamboat Springs at 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, in Craig at 745 Russell St. and at The Haven Assisted Living Center at 300 S.
