Steamboat Springs Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club is set to open nine holes of golf to the public today.
The course will open the front nine at noon. Rates are $65 for as much golf as a person can play and include a cart.
Rollingstone Director of Golf Brian Thorne said depending on the weather, the entire course could be open Monday.
The driving range is expected to be open by the middle of next week.
“It’s greening up really good,” Thorne said. “The drainage we installed in 2008 is doing its job. The course is in really good shape.”
Thorne said starting next week, weather dependent, the staff will aerate one set of nine holes while keeping the other one open.
He said by the week of May 17, they hope to have the greens aerated and all 18 holes open for good.
When all 18 holes do open, Rollingstone will offer a locals special. It will be $75 for 18 holes and includes a cart. The twilight special — after 2 p.m. — will be $65 for 18 holes with a cart.
When prime season hits June 7, the club will offer a locals day on Tuesdays, where locals can play any time of the day for $75 for 18 holes.
Thorne also said a variety of memberships still are available.
