Planning Commission to review Ice Arena addition

The Steamboat Springs Planning Commission is scheduled to review the final development plan tonight for a proposed 11,117-square-foot, three-story addition to Howelsen Ice Arena. The addition would include a teen area, concessions, a game room, community space, restrooms and storage, according to city planning documents. The city of Steamboat Springs is the project applicant, with Mountain Architecture Design Group. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. today in Centennial Hall. The Howelsen addition is the only agenda item. A meeting about spring’s downtown repaving project begins at 5:30 p.m. today in Centennial Hall.
