Hayden ordinance includes new process for issuing citations

The new nuisance ordinance and fee schedule revision, approved last week by the Hayden Town Council, will take effect April 1. The ordinance was amended to allow the town to fine residents who violate sections of town code relating to alarm systems, garbage and weeds.

Howelsen Hill to remain open through weekend

Howelsen Hill Ski Area will close at 6 p.m. through Friday for the last week of public skiing. The ski area will open as typically scheduled these days at 1 p.m. for public skiing. Snow conditions permitting, the chairlift will run as usually scheduled for the last weekend, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is the last day of operation at the Howelsen Hill Ski Area in downtown Steamboat Springs.

12:58 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Mount Werner Road and Mount Werner Circle. Officers found a 24-year-old woman staggering around and took her to detox.
