12:53 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted someone in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive. Officers issued one person a ticket for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, police said.

3:26 a.m. Police responded to a report of a drunken driver at Fish Creek Falls Road and U.S. Highway 40. Officers issued the driver, who was not driving drunk, a ticket, police said.

6:07 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a reported car crash on U.S. 40 at mile marker 116 near Mt. Harris. There were no injuries in the slide-off.

7:41 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a reported structure fire in the 55000 block of Routt County Road 129 near Clark. The homeowner was at the house and was able to extinguish the fire with no damage to the property before responders arrived, said North Routt Fire Chief Bob Reilley.

8:15 a.m. Police were called to a burglary alarm in the 3200 block of Snowflake Circle. Everything was OK, police said.

8:17 a.m. Deputies were called to a burglary alarm in the 31600 block of Aspen Ridge Road.

8:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a fire alarm in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

8:24 a.m. Police were called to a reported two-car crash at Central Park Drive and Pine Grove Road. There were no injuries and one vehicle was towed, police said.

9:03 a.m. Deputies were called to a reported car crash on Colorado Highway 131 near mile marker 66. There were no injuries in the slide-off.

9:18 a.m. Deputies were called to a reported car crash on U.S. 40 near mile marker 116 near Mt. Harris. There were no injuries in the slide-off.

10:03 a.m. Police were called to a report of lost property in the 3100 block of Apres Ski Way. Someone reported losing $460 when strong winds blew the money away, police said.

10:09 a.m. Police were called to a report of a lost California driver’s license in the mountain area.

10:22 a.m. Police took a report of lost property at the police station on Yampa Street. Someone reported losing a wallet at a downtown bar Wednesday, police said.

10:56 a.m. Deputies were called to a complaint about an animal in the 24500 block of C.R. 29 near Oak Creek.

12:14 p.m. Police were called to a burglary alarm in the 2900 block of Heavenly View. Everything was OK, police said.

12:53 p.m. Police were called to a reported car crash at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. A trash truck with its trash container partially lifted was driving west on Lincoln Avenue, police said. When the driver came to Third Street and Lincoln Avenue, the trash container hit the traffic lights on the west side of the intersection, knocking down the left light and bending the right light, police said. Workers fixed the lights at about 6 p.m. Friday, police said.

1:02 p.m. Police were called to assist someone in the mountain area.

1:21 p.m. Police were called to a car crash at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The traffic lights in the westbound lanes of Lincoln Avenue had been damaged in an earlier accident, police said. The accident bent the light over the right lane and made it difficult to see, police said. The driver of a truck going west on Lincoln didn’t see the light was red, and hit a car pulling onto Lincoln from Third Street, police said. There were no injuries and there was moderate damage to both cars, police said.

1:25 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about an animal on Pine Street.

1:56 p.m. Police were called to a reported two-car crash in the 1100 block of Hilltop Parkway. There were no injuries, police said.

2:36 p.m. Deputies were called to a complaint about an animal in the 40400 block of Anchor Way.

3:03 p.m. Police were called to a reported theft in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The issue was handled civilly and the theft suspect was issued a trespass warning for a Central Park business, police said.

3:38 p.m. Hayden Police Department officers and West Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a request for an ambulance in Hayden.

3:42 p.m. Deputies were called to a civil complaint in the 26700 block of Willow Gulch Drive near Clark.

4:59 p.m. Police and Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a request for an ambulance in Steamboat Springs.

5:02 p.m. Deputies were called to a complaint about a vehicle on Colo. 131 at mile marker 50 near Oak Creek. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

5:13 p.m. Deputies were called to a reported car crash at Colo. 131 and U.S. 40. A car slid off the road; there were no injuries.

5:15 p.m. Police were called to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of Eighth Street.

6:40 p.m. Police took a report of lost property in the downtown Steamboat Springs area.

7:42 p.m. Police were called to a juvenile situation in Steamboat Springs. Officers issued a juvenile a ticket for minor in possession and released the juvenile to a parent, police said.

9:15 p.m. Police were called to a reported suspicious incident in the 2300 block of Apres Ski Way.

11:47 p.m. Police were called to a suspicious vehicle at Ninth and Oak streets.

I guess if SSPD pulls you over in the wee-hours of the morning you are "damned if you do, damned if you don't".
