City to close Lincoln Avenue on April 2

Mainstreet Steamboat Springs is reminding downtown business owners that city officials will close much of Lincoln Avenue through downtown on April 2, from 1:15 p.m. until late at night. Snow will be placed on Lincoln Avenue for the Hometown Heroes Celebration, which includes a parade and a stage in front of the Routt County Courthouse to honor local Winter Olympians. The parade will run from 11th Street to Fifth Street. Mainstreet said Lincoln Avenue would be closed until about 10 or 11 p.m., when all snow has been removed from the road.
