However, sources close to the sale say the investment group holding the indebtedness on the project has accepted the high bids placed on nine of the units.

At age 10, Charlie Fisher is still a year out from being able to participate in ski cross competitions, but since it's the first official year of an organized ski cross team in Steamboat, he figures he'll get a head-start. The team is the first junior team of its kind in the country.

Colorado House Bill 1188, which sought to settle the state’s “right to float” laws, was put on hold rather than voted into law in the state Senate. Strings Music Festival staff members hope to present “an eight-week conversation with our audience” with their 23rd season, Executive Director Kay Clagett said this week. The eight-week festival based on chamber music and featuring classical, jazz, bluegrass, folk, blues and world music acts starts June 26 and ends Aug. 21.

Some of the most aggressively priced properties on the Steamboat real estate market have begun to go under contract. A bank-owned duplex offered on a short sale on Bear Creek Drive with 1,680 square feet of living space recently closed for $413,000, compared with the asking price of $499,000.
