Garden Club to meet

The next Garden Club meeting is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Hayden Public Library. Ann Daugherty will discuss how to “grow with your garden.” Other topics include the farmers market, a community garden, downtown beautification and a food co-op.

St. Pat’s dinner

Be sure to attend the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner that the Hayden Lions Club hosts. It is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hayden Valley Elementary School lunch room. Tickets are $10 for those 12 and older and free for children younger than 12.

Scrapbooking class

For those who would like to take some fun college classes, Colorado Northwestern Community College will be having class at the Haven Community Center. “Tell Me a Story” is a scrapbooking class that will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays starting this week and going through April 21. They also will do Body Sculpting, which already has started, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. This class will run until April 28. For more information about these classes and others, call Lindsey at CNCC at 276-7291.

Dance is March 20

Put on your dancing shoes and attend the Community Dance at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Routt County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Hayden. Live music will be provided by local musicians Trevor Guire, Sam Barnes and Jeff Swoyer. This fundraiser will benefit the middle school wrestling program. Couples can kick up their heels all night for $15, adults can swing for a mere $10, and students can make fun of their parents and get in for $5. A great time should be had by all, and the money is for a good cause.
