— The only gas station in Oak Creek has shut down indefinitely, but the owner is working to find a new tenant to reopen the business. The Oak Creek Sinclair was shut down by its tenant Friday, owner Jon Peddie said.

“We’re in the process of talking to people about re-leasing it and getting it back open,” he said.

The nearest gas stations to Oak Creek are now in Yampa, 10 miles south, or outside Steamboat Springs, about 13 miles north.
