The bridge over Trout Creek on Routt County Road 33 (Twentymile Road) will be closed until June 1 starting today, Routt County Road and Bridge Department Supervisor Paul Draper said.

Draper said the county was awarded a $200,000 Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs that requires a 50 percent match. He said Duckels Construction bid the project to repair the bridge’s failing headwalls at just less than $350,000.

A detour will direct drivers onto C.R. 33B to C.R. 179 and back to C.R. 33, Draper said.
