A. October 2009. The lifestyle.

A. Moving to Steamboat.
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Up at 4 a.m. Long bath. At the restaurant by 6 a.m. If there is powder, I take a ski break from 9 to 11 a.m.
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. Gary Zukav, “The Seat of the Soul.” It just opened my eyes to how we are all part of the human experience together.
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A. Learn from other people’s mistakes. You won’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. I’m not from Texas. I make wine. My dog really is my best friend.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. An orthodontist.

A. Chipping asphalt off of tanker trucks as a 12-year-old.

A. Sleeves themed with fruits and veggies.

A. Medieval Scotland.

A. Fish, ski, snowshoe, camp — hard to choose.
