Class notes: Amanda Toy earns degree from Princeton University

— Amanda Toy, a 2005 Steam­boat Springs High School graduate, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University as a member of the Class of 2010.

She also earned a certificate in Con­temporary Euro­pe­­an Politics and So­­ci­­ety and was awarded the Caro­line M. Pic­ard Prize in Poli­tics for her senior thesis proposal, a coded media analysis and comparison of coverage of the Bos­nian War, her father, Joel Toy, wrote in an e-mail.

Joel Toy wrote that Amanda has taken a job with the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York City with plans to attend law school.

Margaret Smith named to Wyoming honor roll

Margaret Mary Smith, of Steamboat Springs, was named to the spring semester vice president’s honor roll at University of Wyoming.

To be eligible, undergraduates must complete at least six, but fewer than 12 hours with a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 for the semester.
