Steamboat Springs 1:07 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an open door at Steamboat Springs High School. Officers closed the door.
1:41 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a request for an ambulance in the Oak Creek area.
2:11 a.m. Police were called to a complaint about a barking dog in the 300 block of Ninth Street. Officers issued a warning.
2:19 a.m. Police were called to a report of a bear in trash cans in the 1300 block of Indian Trails. The bear ran away when officers arrived.
6:34 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a deer hit by a car near mile marker 6 on Routt County Road 129.
7:29 a.m. Police were called to a report of an intrusion alarm in the 1000 block of 13th Street. Everything was fine.
9:14 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a burglary alarm in the 3000 block of Waters Edge Trail near Lake Catamount. Everything was fine.
10:44 a.m. Police were called to a report of tires left on a property for two months at Trails Edge and Burgess Creek Road. Community service officers removed the tires.
1:08 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about a dog loose in the 1700 block of Anglers Drive.
1:11 p.m. Police were called to a report of a panic alarm in an elevator at the Routt County annex building in the 100 block of Sixth Street. There was nobody in the elevator, and everything was fine.
1:25 p.m. Police were called to a report of between 10 and 20 gallons of fuel spilled at a gas station in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters cleaned the spill.
3:50 p.m. Police were called to a report of a cold theft of $45 in cash from a store in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza.
4 p.m. Police were called to a report of a pair of pants with a wallet in them stolen from the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The wallet reportedly had $5,000 in cash. Police arrested a 22-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of the theft, violation of bail bond conditions and possession of an illegal weapon.
4:24 p.m. Police were called to a report of a sick cat at Third and Oak streets. Animal control officers took the cat to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter.
4:52 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and police were called to a report of a gas leak and two small explosions inside a fireplace at an empty house in the first block of Spruce Street.
4:59 p.m. Police were called to check a person who wanted a hotel voucher for the night.
6:23 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a semi truck going too fast through construction in Steamboat.
9:11 p.m. Police were called to talk to two juveniles at the skate park. Officers gave a verbal warning.
9:32 p.m. Deputies arrested a 24-year-old Bozeman, Mont., man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and speeding after a traffic stop on C.R. 14.
11:13 p.m. Police were called to a report of an open door or window in the 2400 block of Downhill Drive.
11:33 p.m. Police were called to a report of a person sleeping in a car at the Stock Bridge Transit Center.
