Steamboat briefs: CNCC offers photography, consumer issues classes

Steamboat Springs — Colorado Northwestern Community College is offering a digital photography class with instructor Greg Pieraccini from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at Hayden High School. The $40 class will cover the basics of digital photography. Participants must register by Monday. Call 276-7291.
CNCC is holding a workshop called Contemporary Consumer Issues. Students will explore the consumer’s role in the economy and learn about consumer protection. The $40 class will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10 and 12 at Hayden Public Library. Call 276-7291 by Monday to register.
Realtors’ scholarship golf tournament is on Aug. 11
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors Scholarship Golf Tournament is Aug. 11, and the coinciding auction is Aug. 10.
The deck party and auction is at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at Sweetwater Grill, 811 Yampa St. The cost to attend the deck party is $35 per person.
The golf tournament will be at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club on Aug. 11 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be played under a scramble format for five-player teams. The preregistration fee is $140, which includes the deck party.
Registration forms are available at the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors office at 625 S. Lincoln Ave., No. 202, or at the board website, www.ssbr.org, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone interested in supporting the golf tournament and auction should call Michelle Diehl at 879-8100.
