Steamboat Briefs: Little League seeks cash or material donations

Steamboat Springs Little League is raising money to improve the quality of the fields and get better equipment for players. Donations of cash and materials are being accepted. To donate money, call Phil Pagliaro at 970-590-7076. To donate materials, call Pat McElhiney at 970-846-8734. Donations are tax-deductible.
Local calligraphy basics class starts Thursday
A class about calligraphy basics with Andy Kennedy is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 and 5 at the Steamboat Arts & Crafts Gym. The three-class fee is $100, plus $20 for materials.
