Drivers may be surprised when they cruise down Lincoln Avenue and see the office and art supplies that lined the windows of Pilot Office Outfitters for decades replaced by contemporary art and antique European furniture. The store recently eliminated the retail floor and leased the space at 1025 Lincoln Ave.

New beetle-killed pine benches give Soroco students a place to gather

Brad Cooke smoothed out the top of a beetle-killed pine bench Thursday afternoon with an electric sander in the wood shop at Soroco High School. The high school social studies teacher is about 80 hours into building 10 benches, a project he estimated would take 120 hours.
