12:26 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Depart­­ment officers were called to a report of an open garage door in the 800 block of Critter Court. Officers closed the door and secured the building.

1:05 a.m. Police were called to a report of an open door at the Chief Plaza Theater. Everything was fine.

1:06 a.m. Police were called to Eighth Street near Soda Creek Elementary. An intoxicated 29-year-old Hayden man was trying to get into an apartment that wasn’t his. Police arrested him on suspicion of violating bail bond conditions.

1:17 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a barn fire in the 43000 block of Routt County Road 46. No horses were inside, and firefighters allowed the fire to burn out.

2:33 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian at High Point Drive and U.S. Highway 40. Deputies gave the person a courtesy ride.

7:37 a.m. Police were called to a report of a found bicycle at Old Town Hot Springs. An employee turned it over to code enforcement officers.

9:21 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a burglary in the 3900 block of Routt County Road 50 in Milner. The caller had discovered jewelry missing.

9:30 a.m. Police were called to a report of a dog at large at Mount Werner Road and Woodbridge Court. A brown Labrador was near the railroad tracks. The dog was gone when an animal control officer arrived.

9:29 a.m. Deputies were called to a complaint that the caller’s neighbors were blocking gate access on Routt County Road 29.

1:36 p.m. Police were called to assist a person in the 700 block of Yampa Street. A manager of a residence near a scooter store reported that people renting scooters were testing them in the parking lot of the residences. People at the store said they would tell customers not to use the parking lot.

1:44 p.m. Firefighters and deputies were called to an ambulance request. A 36-year-old woman didn’t feel well and was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

1:58 p.m. Firefighters and police were called to an ambulance request in the 900 block of Yampa Street. A 15-year-old boy hit his head and might have had a concussion. He was taken to YVMC.

2:01 p.m. Firefighters and police were called to an ambulance request at the U.S. Forest Service building. A man in his mid-40s was dehydrated and feeling fatigued. He was taken to YVMC.

2:09 p.m. Deputies were called to a complaint of sheep on a person’s property in the 28000 block of Colorado Highway 131 in Oak Creek. The sheep’s owner was notified.

2:24 p.m. Police arrested a 25-year-old Steamboat woman on two warrants in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle.

2:41 p.m. Police were called to an animal complaint in the 800 block of Yampa Street. An older gray German shepherd mix was at large. When an animal control officer arrived, the dog was gone.

4 p.m. Police were called to a report of a theft at the St. Cloud Mountain Club. A manager reported that a bar stool valued at $2,500 was stolen July 10 during business hours.

4:39 p.m. Police were called to a parking complaint in the 800 block of Crawford Avenue. Police tried to resolve a parking dispute between neighbors.

4:50 p.m. Police were called to assist a person who was having trouble unlocking a bike at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

5:17 p.m. Police were called to a report of a two-vehicle, noninjury wreck in the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza. An SUV was backing out of a parking space and hit a sedan. Police took a report.

5:28 p.m. Colorado Division of Wildlife officers were called to a report of a bear getting into bird food in the 31000 block of Aspen Ridge Road.

6:01 p.m. Police were called to a report of animal bites in the 1200 block of Buckskin Drive. A 1-year-old girl had been playing with a piece of wood and tried to give it to the family dog, who grazed her finger. The injury was minor.

7:11 p.m. Police were called to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Blue Sage Drive. Officers were unable to locate the source of the shots.

8:39 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about two pit bulls that harassed a person in the 3300 block of Après Ski Way. Police returned the dogs to their owner and issued a warning.

11:30 p.m. Deputies, North Routt Fire Protection District, North Routt Ambulance and Colorado State Patrol responded to a car wreck in the 61000 block of Routt County Road 129. A 34-year-old man was taken to YVMC with lacerations on his face.

11:57 p.m. Police were called to a report that a non-aggressive bear had gotten into trash at Fourth and Oak streets. Police found what was likely the same bear behind Old West Steakhouse and chased it away with a patrol car.
