— The $50,000 worth of jewelry reported stolen Dec. 21 from The Antlers condominium in Ski Time Square was found by the guests before they returned home.

Condo General Manager Josh Miller said the guests found the jewelry where they left it, in a drawer in the slopeside condo. Steamboat Springs police Detective Nick Bosick confirmed that the guests, from Florida, found the five pieces of jewelry and that the case was resolved.

This happens every other year or so. Misplaced jewels and so quick to jump to the conclusion of theft. Stop bringing all your expensive jewelry to Steamboat. We are not impressed by your wealth.
