How local athletes fared at the 2010 Winter Olympics

■ Alpine snowboarder Caroline Calve finished 20th in the parallel giant slalom for Canada.

■ Nordic combined skier Brett Camerota finished 36th with a time of 27:56.6 in the normal hill event and was part of the second-place U.S. Nordic combined team.

■ Snowboard cross participant Callan Chythlook-Sifsof finished 21st with a time of 1:59.04.

■ Nordic combined skier Billy Demong finished sixth in a time of 26:05 in the normal hill event, was part of the second-place U.S. Nordic combined team in the team event and finished first in large hill event with a time of 25 minutes, 32.9 seconds.

■ Nordic combined skier Taylor Fletcher finished 45th, 6:40.6 behind the winner, in the large hill event.

■ Alpine snowboarder Michelle Gorgone qualified 13th and placed 14th in the parallel giant slalom.

■ Alpine snowboarder Tyler Jewell finished 13th in the parallel giant slalom.   

■ Freestyle aerials skier Jana Lindsey failed to qualify for the finals and placed 17th.

■ Nordic combined skier Todd Lodwick finished fourth with a time of 25:48.6 in the normal hill event, was part of the second-place U.S. Nordic combined team and finished 13th, 1:10.3 back, in the large hill event.

■ Alpine snowboarder Adam McLeish finished 24th in the parallel giant slalom.

■ Freestyle moguls skier Mike Morse finished 15th with a score of 23.38.

■ Alpine snowboarder Johanna Shaw failed to qualify for the parallel giant slalom finals and placed 19th with a time of 1:26.10 for Australia.

■ Nordic combined skier Johnny Spillane finished second with a time of 25:47.5, was part of the second-place U.S. Nordic combined team and placed second in the large hill event.

■ Freestyle aerials skier Ryan St. Onge qualified second with a score of 240.67 and finished fourth with a score of scored 239.93.

■ Alpine snowboarder Kimiko Zakreski didn’t finish her second run and failed to qualify for the finals in parallel giant slalom for Canada.

■ Freestyle moguls skier Pat Deneen tied for 19th and didn’t get his run scored.

And Taylor Fletcher was part of the 11th place US ski jumping team in the Large Hill Team event.
