— A break in a water line outside of Yampa was restored Friday evening after crews repaired the problem, which was noticed earlier in the day.

Town Clerk Janet Ray said at about 4:45 p.m. Friday that water was flowing back into town after workers repaired a section of pipe in a field on Routt County Road 7. Workers were checking the quality of the water as it flowed into town, but Ray said it would be safe to drink.

The break was noticed at about 8 a.m., she said, and crews began work digging at the site in the morning. Water flow to the town stopped while the piece of pipe was being replaced. The cause of the break and the amount of water that leaked was unknown Friday evening.
