Yampa leak will result in water shut-off this afternoon

Pipe issue was discovered early this morning in a field outside of town. The water remains safe for consumption, a town official says, but residents will be without running water for a time this afternoon while repairs are made.

A 52-year-old woman suffered a severe back injury while snowmobiling with a group at Saddleback Ranch on Thursday morning. Search and Rescue spokeswoman Dawn Alperti said the woman, who is from out of state, reportedly was riding on a snowmobile with her husband when they went over a series of bumps.
