Steamboat Springs Monday, Feb. 8
12:28 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a disturbance in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. A man reported there were four or five people outside his door trying to get in, and one man outside possibly had a golf club. Police arrested a 19-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of felony menacing, on suspicion of false reporting, on suspicion of minor in possession and on a warrant for failure to appear. Officers also arrested a 21-year-old Poncha Springs man on suspicion of third-degree assault.
9:29 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders and deputies were called to a request for an ambulance. Medical crews took a 41-year-old man with a medical complaint to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
10:02 a.m. Police were called to a request for assistance at Steamboat Ski Area where ski patrollers had a young man who reportedly stole a pass.
11:04 a.m. Police were called to a noise complaint in the 700 block of Pitkin Street where a man reported that U.S. Forest Service workers were warming up equipment near his home. Forest Service workers reportedly said the equipment takes 45 minutes to warm up.
11:42 a.m. Police were called to a report of a violation of a restraining order in the Steamboat area. A woman reportedly was calling and text messaging a person repeatedly. Officers arrested a 29-year-old Steamboat woman on suspicion of violation of a restraining order and false reporting.
2:13 p.m. Police were called to a report of a trespass in the 300 block of Little Moon Trail where a person reported that someone was trying to enter a neighboring house without permission. The person reportedly got into an SUV and left.
4:05 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and police were called to a request for an ambulance in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court where a young girl reportedly fell down on plywood. Medical crews took her to YVMC in stable condition.
8:04 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue, West Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders, the Routt County Emergency Management Director and deputies were called to a report of a house fire west of Milner in the 20000 block of U.S. Highway 40. The two-story house had extensive damage, and investigators are searching for the source of the fire. Everybody in the house got out safely, and there were no injuries.
9:30 p.m. Police were called to a report of fraud in the 1800 block of Loggers Lane. A person in Florida reported that someone had impersonated him and bought $5,700 worth of carpet. Police are investigating.
11:39 p.m. Police were called to a request for an officer in the 600 block of Yampa Street where a person who was kicked out of a business reportedly was circling the block and giving other patrons threatening looks. Police found the car the man was driving parked and unoccupied.
