The Northwest Colorado Dental Coalition’s “Give Kids a Smile” event is Friday. The event is part of a national effort by the American Dental Association to provide free dental care for children 18 and younger without insurance.

Interested parents are asked to make an appointment with the Northwest Colorado Dental Coalition at 970-824-8000.

Mac Ranch offers range of classes in February, March

The Mac Ranch, at 117 Eighth St., offers February and March classes starting this week. Topics are: introduction to Mac, adv-novice Mac, iPhoto, iTunes, Aperture, iWeb, iMovie, iDVD, preventing disaster, networking essentials and understanding e-mail. Women’s heart disease awareness day is Friday
