Bud Werner Memorial Library is hosting a Shakespeare Reading Group with a focus on “Hamlet” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. on six consecutive Wednesdays, Feb. 2 to March 19. Led by veteran English teacher Sally Frostic, the free workshop is for first-time and experienced Shakespeare readers. The overall emphasis is on enjoyment of “Hamlet” — discussing, reading brief excerpts together and learning about the playwright and his world. “Hamlet” is the story of a young man, grieving about the recent loss of his father and tortured as he considers the cause of his father’s death.
Great actors have considered Hamlet the most profound role to play, and the conversations about what it means continue. The reading group is limited to 15 participants, and the library will loan copies of the book to all participants. Contact Adult Programs Coordinator Jennie Lay at 970-879-0240, ext. 317, or email@example.com to sign up or get more information.
