Steamboat Springs 1:12 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers warned two people in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle for having open containers of alcohol.
1:25 a.m. An employee at a business in the 2000 block of Snow Bowl Plaza reported finding a desktop computer tower in the parking lot. Police took the computer.
1:28 a.m. Police ticketed a man for urinating in public near Village Drive and Meadow Lane.
1:57 a.m. Police contacted a highly intoxicated man riding a bus at Gondola Transit Center. Police took the man home to a sober roommate.
2:26 a.m. Police took a report related to an altercation at a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.
2:50 a.m. Police contacted two men who were fighting in the 1300 block of Indian Trails. Police helped mediate the situation.
7:34 a.m. Police assisted ambulance workers with an 85-year-old man in the 300 block of Pine Street.
9:31 a.m. Police investigated the traffic lights at U.S. Highway 40 and Pine Grove Road after someone complained about the timing.
9:42 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a noninjury crash where someone had spun out near mile marker 63 on Colorado Highway 131.
11:57 a.m. Deputies investigated a vehicle that had been parked at the base of Rabbit Ears Pass for about a week.
12:08 p.m. Police assisted with a tanker truck that had broken down near U.S. 40 and Hilltop Parkway.
12:11 p.m. Police assisted with a vehicle that had slid off Village Drive.
12:46 p.m. Police investigated a shuttle van that had been vandalized in a parking garage in the 2200 block of Après Ski Way. A tire had been punctured, and someone keyed the vehicle.
12:59 p.m. A person complained about the traffic light at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.
2:57 p.m. A man reported juveniles throwing snowballs at cars near Walton Creek and Whistler roads. The juveniles were gone when police arrived.
3:22 p.m. Police responded to a two-vehicle, noninjury crash near Steamboat Boulevard and Mount Werner Road. A ticket was issued.
4:26 p.m. A man reported seeing two dogs with porcupine quills in their mouths in the 600 block of Huckleberry Lane. The dogs were taken to a veterinarian.
4:52 p.m. Deputies responded to a slide-off on Routt County Road 129 south of Steamboat Springs Airport.
5:12 p.m. A woman reported a vehicle driving without headlights near Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver was warned.
8:17 p.m. Police issued a warning after seeing people sledding on Ski Trail Lane. A snowball reportedly was thrown at an officer.
8:37 p.m. Police assisted ambulance workers with a 16-year-old boy who had fallen and hit his head at Howelsen Hill.
8:52 p.m. A man reported people were throwing snowballs from a minivan driving on Oak Street. Police were unable to locate the van.
9:22 p.m. Deputies responded to a rollover crash on U.S. 40 at mile marker 122. A 50-year-old woman refused medical treatment.
9:30 p.m. Police and deputies responded to a head-on crash on U.S. 40 near mile marker 127. At least two people were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
10:11 p.m. A person reported seeing people throwing snowballs onto U.S. 40 near Indian Trails. Police were unable to locate the snowball throwers.
10:35 p.m. A man reported that two vehicles were doing doughnuts in a Howelsen Hill parking lot. Police made contact with one of the vehicles and issued a warning.
