— In a box score, it may look like bad news. Hayden senior Graig Medvesk, having a 30-point game just a week ago, made only three shots and scored six points Friday night in a game against North Park.

There was little reason for Tigers fans to worry, however. Medvesk and the rest of the Hayden starters barely seemed to see the court after establishing a 10-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

Hayden rolled past North Park at home Friday night, 57-35.

“We just went out, played hard and tried to play good defense,” senior Hayden Blake said. “We’re doing pretty good now.”

Eleven Hayden players contributed, led by senior Ben Williams with 12 points. He finished as the only Tiger in double figures, but sophomore Jorge Valdez and senior Justin Moon each had 8.

Hayden led, 14-2, after one quarter and 27-10 at halftime.

The Tigers bench got a thorough workout throughout the game.

“We had a lot of offense, and we played fundamental basketball,” Moon said.

The boys return to varsity action Jan. 7 against Meeker.
