— A Christmas light contest is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Phippsburg. Those who want to enter must fill out a form at the Phippsburg post office by noon Monday.

Post office will staff inside window later for holidays

The downtown Steamboat Springs post office will staff its inside window later than usual today and Monday through Friday. People can pick up packages and mail and drop off prepaid packages at the window until at least 4 p.m. today and until at least 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Customers cannot drop off packages to be mailed unless they already have postage. Prepaid postage can be bought at www.usps.com.

Full post office service will be available from 9 a.m. to noon today and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hayden’s Tour of Lights

winners are announced

The Hayden Chamber of Commerce announced Wed­nesday the winners of the Hayden Tour of Lights, which was held Tuesday night.

Winners in four categories were awarded $100 cash.

They are: Randy Newberry for most creative light display, Mike and Julie Lane for most unusual light display, Kevin and Alaine Montgomery for most religious display, and Paul Jones for the most voltage used.

The annual event, which has taken place in Hayden for about 30 years, was co-sponsored by the Yampa Valley Electric Association.
