Steamboat Springs 12:14 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken driver. Officers were unable to find the driver.
12:50 a.m. Officers warned someone about urinating in public at Lincoln Avenue and Seventh Street.
1:20 a.m. Officers gave someone a courtesy ride home from the first block of Seventh Street.
2:04 a.m. Officers warned a group of loud people at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.
2:10 a.m. Officers and Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a car in a ditch about one mile from Fish Creek Falls. There was no damage to the car.
2:35 a.m. Officers responded to a report of an accident on the Mount Werner Road exit of U.S. Highway 40. The driver of the vehicle had left the scene on foot. Officers later found him in Wildhorse Marketplace and arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence, DUI per se and having an open container of alcohol.
3:25 a.m. Officers were called to a motel in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue for an intoxicated person who was locked out of his or her room. Officers got a key and helped the person into the room.
7:51 a.m. Officers responded to a report of burglary at West End Liquor where someone broke in through the store’s front window and took liquor and cigarettes.
8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of vandalism at Bud Werner Memorial Library where someone had written vulgar words in a bathroom stall.
10:06 a.m. A ski pass was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Shadow Run Court. There are no suspects.
10:48 a.m. A police officer provided backup for a Sheriff’s Office deputy during a traffic stop on U.S. 40.
3:05 p.m. An ambulance was requested at Howelsen Ice Arena for a youth hockey player who had hit his head on the ice. The child was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center in a private car.
6:21 p.m. There was a two-car, noninjury crash in the alley behind a business in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue.
7:34 p.m. An officer responded to a report of people having sex in vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Laurel Lane. The officer gave a warning to the car’s occupants.
9:50 p.m. Dogs were reportedly chasing a bear in the 1900 block of Fish Creek Falls Road.
11:23 p.m. A 42-year-old Virginia man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, driving without a license plate lamp and driving with the number of the license plate obstructed after a traffic stop in the 500 block of Marketplace Plaza.
