— Ten Hayden High School football players were named to the Class 1A All Western Slope League team.

The Tigers, who advanced to the second round of the playoffs before falling to No. 1 Wray, placed four guys on the second team and six on the first team.

Seniors Treyben Letlow, Graig Medvesk, Ben Williams, Ty Dunckley, Dayton Dowling and Chris Skof were named to the first team.

Letlow also was named Punter of the Year and shared Player of the Year honors with Hotchkiss’ Ryan Spor. The awards mean Letlow will be invited to play in the all-state game next summer.

Medvesk was named Returner of the Year. He averaged 35 yards on punt and kickoff returns. Four of his returns went for touchdowns.

Seniors Brian Hoza, Luke Myers and Justin Moon, and sophomore Ryan Domson were named to the second team.

“I’m really pleased,” Hayden coach Shawn Baumgartner said. “The kids are deserving of these honors.”
