Steamboat Springs Sandy Wisecup, the Oak Creek woman charged with 80 counts of animal cruelty, will next appear in court Sept. 21 after her arraignment was postponed Tuesday morning.
Wisecup is accused of neglecting the horses she keeps near mile marker 54 on Colorado Highway 131 in South Routt County. She was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning, but her Denver-based attorney reportedly had a family emergency, and the hearing was postponed. Routt County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Mellisa Baumgartner said animal control deputies continue to check on the horses.
