12:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers arrested a 40-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of driving with a revoked license, driving under the influence of alcohol, eluding, careless driving, unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 substance and “six to 10 other traffic charges,” according to the arrest log. A Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputy said the man was on a dirt bike traveling at a high rate of speed with no headlights.

6:01 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on South Elk Drive. According to the Routt County Sheriff’s Office and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue, five dogs died of smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and an investigation is under way.

6:36 a.m. Officers responded to a vehicle complaint at the 2500 block of Eagleridge drive.

9:49 a.m. Deputies responded to a report of harassment in Oak Creek.

11:42 a.m. Police were called to a report of a found wallet on Trafalgar Drive. The wallet was returned to its owner.

12:07 p.m. Police were called to a report of a found camera on Fish Creek Falls Road. The camera was logged as evidence.

12:24 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of a speeding vehicle in Routt County.

1:04 p.m. A 43-year-old Steamboat Springs man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with serious injuries after a motorcycle crash on Routt County Road 33. The man is now recovering at home.

1:50 p.m. Two people on motorcycles were involved in an accident and both were transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center with unknown injuries.

2:49 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious incident on C.R. 129.

2:55 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash on C.R. 36. A vehicle reportedly backed into another vehicle and then left. No other details were available.

7:45 p.m. Officers responded to a reported gas leak on Fourth Street. It turned out to be running water.

7:46 p.m. An animal complaint was made in Hayden.

10:52 p.m. Officers conducted a foot patrol at a construction site at the base of Mount Werner.
