Steamboat Springs 1:51 a.m. Colorado State Patrol troopers called for Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Steamboat Springs Police Department officers to help look for a car that reportedly was in a crash in the 500 block of Wyatt Drive. No more information was available.
8:33 a.m. Police were called to a report of a car crash in the 400 block of Anglers Drive. Officers issued a ticket.
9:10 a.m. Police were called to a report of an abandoned car in the 1300 block of Athens Plaza that the caller thought could be stolen. Everything was fine.
9:16 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District emergency responders and Oak Creek Police Department officers were called to a request for an ambulance in the Oak Creek area.
9:57 a.m. Police were called to a report of an attempted scam in the 200 block of Caribou Lane. A woman reported that someone had sent her an e-mail saying a family friend was overseas and needed money. No money was lost.
10:11 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders and police were called to a request for an ambulance on Willow Court for a 27-year-old woman reporting back pain. Medical crews took the woman to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
10:48 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and police were called to a request for an ambulance on Gilpin Court where a 65-year-old man was feeling ill. Medical crews took him to YVMC.
11:13 a.m. Police were called to a complaint about a dog loose in Little Toots Park. Officers gave the dog’s owner a ticket.
11:36 a.m. Police were called to a report of what sounded like shots in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive. Officers determined that it probably was construction noise.
12:25 p.m. Police were called to a report of a GPS unit stolen from a car in the 400 block of Mountain Vista Court.
1:18 p.m. Police talked to a man who had questions about problems with a car he recently bought. Officers told him it was a civil matter.
1:55 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of trees on a power line in the 700 block of Yampa Street. Deputies notified the Yampa Valley Electric Association.
2:34 p.m. Deputies and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of a burglary alarm in the 31000 block of Aspen Ridge Road. The alarm was false.
3:27 p.m. Police were called to YVMC for a report of an assault. Officers determined that it happened in Oak Creek and passed the case to Oak Creek police.
4:25 p.m. Police were called to a report of two attempted frauds in the 1900 block of Pine Grove Road. A woman reported that someone tried to draw a false check on her bank account and also attempted to steal money from the account by wire transfer. One attempted theft was for about $21,000 and the other for about $36,000. The bank and the woman caught the fraud, and no money was lost.
6:30 p.m. Police were called to a report of a disturbance in Little Toots Park. Officers arrested a 19-year-old woman.
7:02 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and police were called to a request for an ambulance at the Bud Werner Memorial Library where a 65-year-old woman reportedly passed out. Medical crews took her to YVMC.
7:56 p.m. Steamboat Spring Fire Rescue was called to a report of a fire about a mile from Routt County Road 46 B north of Milner. The fire was on private land in heavy timber and burned about a quarter of an acre. Firefighters controlled the fire and reported that lightning likely caused it.
10:38 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about a loud party in the 500 block of Mountain Vista Court. Everything was quiet when officers arrived.
11:53 p.m. Police were called to a report of a burglary on Locust Lane where jewelry worth about $500 reportedly was stolen. There was no forced entry, and police said they have a suspect.
