1:38 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to what turned out to be a family disturbance in the 2000 block of West Acres Drive. They mediated the disturbance with no criminal charges, but a 21-year-old Steamboat man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court and also was charged with possession of an illegal weapon.

8:51 a.m. Police were called to reports of a burglary in the 2800 block of West End Avenue. A man returned from work and found that someone had entered his residence and removed cash in an envelope. There was no sign of forced entry, and nothing else was taken. Police logged the incident as a burglary and theft and are investigating.

9:03 a.m. Police were called to reports of vandalism in the 800 block of Majestic Circle. Someone had taken signs that indicated who could park in assigned parking spaces and thrown them in a ditch. Police wrote up the incident as tampering. The signs weren’t damaged.

10:30 a.m. Police were called to a report of identity theft in the 1600 block of Cornice Court. A man’s mail had been redirected after someone changed his address online. No fraudulent charges were reported.

11:36 a.m. Police were called to reports of theft in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue where two Safeway employees reportedly were stealing from the grocery store. When one person was working, the other would come in and go through the person’s checkout line with groceries, police said. The person working would scan some items and skip others, police said. The theft amounted to about $1,600. Safeway’s loss-prevention team discovered the incident, police said. Two Steamboat women, ages 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of theft of more than $1,000 and conspiracy. Both are felonies.

4:30 p.m. Hayden Police Department officers were called to reports of a brush fire in the 10700 block of Routt County Road 51A in Hayden where a controlled burn came too close to storage units. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and no one was hurt.

4:48 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary alarm in the 33500 block of Water Song Lane. It was a false alarm, and the house was secure.

7:35 p.m. Hayden police were called to reports of a brush fire in the 40000 block of C.R. 80. It was a controlled burn, and everything was fine.

9:48 p.m. Steamboat police were called to do a welfare check in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive. A boyfriend and girlfriend were having a verbal domestic dispute. Police said alcohol was involved. Officers mediated the situation, and the two were separated for the night.

These "ladies" not know anything about Lift-Up? If y'all were hurtin' for food, they could have helped you out. Don't think they'll be much good to ya now. Very dumb.
