3:36 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers and Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a car crash near mile marker 142 on U.S. Highway 40, where a driver hit a deer. There was some damage to the car but no injuries to the driver. Officers put down the deer.

9:27 a.m. Police were called to a complaint of a black Labrador loose in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. Animal control officers took the dog.

10 a.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a gas leak in the 1100 block of Redwoods Drive.

11:41 a.m. Police were called to a report of a noninjury, two-car hit-and-run crash in the 1600 block of Pine Grove Road. The crash happened on Covey Circle, and officers took a report.

12:36 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a fire alarm in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court.

12:41 p.m. Police were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza, where people reportedly were driving around Wildhorse Marketplace and attempting to sell stereo equipment from the back of a car. The car was gone when officers arrived.

12:42 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a juvenile situation in Steamboat Springs.

1:21 p.m. Police arrested a juvenile at the Yampa Valley School on suspicion of probation violation.

4:17 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of a fire alarm in the 1200 block of All Seasons Court.

6:48 p.m. Deputies were called to a request for an officer in the 30000 block of Deer Lane, south of Steamboat, for a burn with open flames. The fire was contained, there was no damage, and deputies are investigating.

7:44 p.m. Police arrested a 38-year-old Steamboat man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the first block of Anglers Drive.

9:31 p.m. Deputies and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a request for an ambulance in Steamboat, where a man reportedly hit his head. Medical crews took the man to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

9:43 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a trespass in the 55000 block of Routt County Road 62 near Clark, where a woman reported that someone was letting her horses loose. Deputies took a report.

10:01 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a missing person on Buffalo Pass where a hunter did not return when he said he would. The hunter hiked out of the wilderness with the help of two other hunters early Wednesday morning. He was not injured. For more information, see the story on page 12.
