Steamboat Briefs: Bust of Steamboat looking for sponsors for event

The Bust of Steamboat is looking for presenting sponsors for the eighth annual Bust of Steamboat on Oct. 30 at Three Peaks Bar and Grill. Sponsorships are available at all levels and may include tickets to the auction, your business featured on the event poster and in the evening's auction program, and display advertising.

The Bust of Steamboat is organized by the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project, a completely volunteer organization where 100 percent of the funds stay local and help pay for mammograms, wellness exams and treatment in the fight against breast cancer.

Council on Aging seeking board of directors applicants

The Routt County Council on Aging is seeking applications for its board of directors. The RCCOA serves the senior populations of Steamboat Springs, Oak Creek and Hayden by offering lunch, transportation and a variety of activities at each site. The board, consisting of adults of all ages, meets four times a year to oversee operations. For information or to apply, call 870-8413.

Respite Program seeks experienced care providers

The Yampa Valley Autism Program is seeking care providers for its Respite Program. Respite Program care providers are made available to families of children with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities, for hire to help as needed. Care providers also can participate in programs such as Kid's Night Out.

The Yampa Valley Autism Program is looking for individuals that have experience with children of special needs. CPR and first aid certifications can be provided if not certified. An hourly rate is provided to all caregivers. Call Kristin at 970-870-4263 or e-mail kristinpiro@gmail.com.
