Steamboat briefs: Grant funds available for food, shelter programs
The Northern Rockies jurisdiction has been chosen to receive $50,000 in federal funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in Routt, Eagle, Pitkin, Summit, Grand and Jackson counties. A national board chaired by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency selected the jurisdiction.
